Everglades National Park

Money never made a man happy yet, nor will it. The more a man has, the more he wants. Instead of filling a vacuum, it makes one. ~ Benjamin Franklin

It was a first night with our host families. We were all excited about homestaying.  I am sparing a room with my friend and we slept quite well even though New, American bed was giving a really weird and funny sound. :) in the morning we were invites to eat out our breakfast. Our lovely host family took us to a topical American restaurant with bagels. I haven't eaten this before. Very yummy! Thank you!  At school we met our International Maths from Egypt, China, Switzerland, Irleand, Brazil and the teacher from Haiti. We were put into International groups to get acquainted with each other. . By a school American bus we went to a trip to Everglades National Park that constitues the source of clear, driving water for Florida and is a habitat for various kinds of fauna and flora:). We saw beautiful cormorans, vultures-huge ones and crocodiles and alligators during the ride on an airboat. Even though I am a bit  disappointed since my guide gave us so much information  made all stories quite boring and hard to memorize. I know that our groups were Lucky ones with super energetic guides who showed them the Florida survival hints: how to make bandage out of the sawwgrass or find some water out of it or eatable cattepillars in them:) brrr Later on we saw a show with the alligators where an alligatorkeeper showed a little performance with his alligators-friends. They greatly cooperated to show a great value of those Animals whole skins are not rarely used for leather gabs etc. Such an educational lesson should make all tourists aware of the problem... Then the next exciting part came... We all went shopping to a huge mało... And became peniless:)) Then we went to the shopping mall.  We spent a lot of  money but we are still planning to go shopping again if our spare time. Tomorrow, our International conference starts. We are really looking forward to that since will present our Country to all participants and take part in American classes....  all we are looking forward to a school day...  Goodnight then...
