International Summit in Pompano Beach High School, Florida

 2017 INTERNATIONAL SUMMIT INVITATION

Dear Fellow Educator,

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to Pompano Beach High School from January 19 – 27, 2017 for our 2017 International Summit. This is an excellent opportunity to develop cultural awareness in the field of education, increase knowledge about the United States, and establish lasting ties with schools from around the world. The enclosed PowerPoint presentation will give you an overview of our International Summit.

Opportunities will include teaching in cooperation with Pompano Beach High School educators, meeting with university professors and administrators on their campus, and sharing cultural practices with the community.  Educators and other foreign dignitaries will be invited to discuss issues in education from specific cultural perspectives.  Throughout the week, you will have opportunities to enjoy selected Floridian culture such as Disneyworld and Universal theme parks in the city of Orlando.

In conjunction with the Confucius Institute of Broward County Public Schools, we will also be celebrating a Chinese Cultural Awareness Day on January 27, 2017.  This event will include performances and academic competitions by students enrolled in Chinese language classes within our District and throughout the United States.  Attendees will visit Chinese exhibits and sample authentic Chinese food to celebrate the Chinese New Year.

We are pleased to be able to host up to two educators and six students from VIII Prywatne Akademickie Liceum Ogolnoksztalcace in Kraków  in our school and homes.
