Day 8 - IB SCHOOL VISIT, UNIVERSITY VISIT

On Friday our family took me and Ewa for typical American breakfast. We ate donuts and bagels. Then our Polish group went to IB school, located half-an-hour drive from Pompano Beach High School.

Me and Ewa had opportunity to go to IB Math 2SL class, that was very interesting to watch. This boarding school is huge. They have a great library!! When I saw several, art  books on the  shelf I got a bit jealous... ;)

Next we went to FAU. We found out a lot useful things about admission there and the courses they provide. We had an opportunity to see the dormitory too. Actually, we had a guided tour there. In the evening we arrived in Disneyworld, Movie-Star Resort.
We were tired after an intensive week that's why we went to bed straight away! Although it was hard to fall asleep because we couldn't wait for a next whole day in Disney !!
To cut long story short I want to thank Belangers Family! Thank you for making my visit in Pompano Beach unforgettable experience ! And of course, thank you Noy for making a delicious banana bread !!

Day 7

6th day of our trip was another day with presentations. Our 3 groups - Education, Economics, Culture and History were presenting from morning to lunch. For lunch we ate delicious typical American food made by Red Chair Catering.

Later we have gone to Summit Capstone Event. Adult representants of Brasil, France, USA and Poland were answering questions from audience. After that, we sang Polish Christmas carol "Przybieżeli do Betlejem". After summit we went fishing with Pompano Beach High School Fishing Club, it was very sunny! After that we went to the best place ever - chicken restaurant P.D.Q.

Then we went to a Christmas Concert. We were singing carols in Polish. It was very funny, everyone was having a good time. After Concert, we returned to our host families.

Day 6 (part 2)

On 10th December with my Polish firiends we visited Pompano Beach elementary school; to be honest completely different than ours. Personally, I believe that kids in America have more discipline oriented classes than we have. Kids in that school kept asking so many questions. Wow! We also had a n opportunity to have a lunch at Polish Deli here. The owner of Polish origin, served us with Golabki. When I compared them to the ones they serve in Poland, they were of a different taste.

We did have a chance to spend some time walking across Popmano Beach, thanks to Ms Jill Narus who has helped us and assisted us a lot through our great visit. In the late afternnon we took a water taxi and were riding along the river banks. Some of the houses were huge and expensive, so were the yachts. I saw the one which belongs to John Deep… costly hobby.. 6million US, Really? Drems come might come trueJ We finish our day with a little shopping, thanks to our host family.

Thank you for having us!
